Hooray

Posted by anonymous on January 28, 2011 at 12:21 PM

Si's seizures are continuing even after the increase in Keppra, so that's not good to report.  Next week I'll contact the neuro to see what we'll do next.  It may be more increase in Keppra or even Lamictal.

Here's what the Hooray is for!   Copied directly from Deb, Simon's PT asst:  "He stands at a chest high tray (no stander) and me behind him. Pelvic support but no knees. He stands for up to 2 minutes and then I have to catch him because he is done, thank you very much."

Wonderful!  I don't get him to bear that much weight at home, so I'm very pleased to hear this.  Would like to think that maybe sitting independently is possible in the future too if this continues.

Have a great weekend :)

"Motherhood is about raising and celebrating the child you have, not the child you thought you would have. It's about understanding that he is exactly the person he is supposed to be. And that, if you're lucky, he just might be the teacher who turns you into the person you are supposed to be." ~The Water Giver~

A prayer

Lord,

Please help me remember that Your love is always greater than my disappointments and Your plans for my life are always better than my dreams.

Amen.
